How to create folders in android ?

 Today in this post you will learn how to create folder in android. But before we start what is a folder ? A folder is a collection of related files in order to organize files on the basis of some categories. Like there can be many songs in a music folder or pictures in photo folder.

Generally in android there are two types of folder one is app folder ( collection of apps) and another is normal folders to manage your files. So in this article i will teach you to create both app folder and normal folder in android.

How to create  folder in android home screen ?

In order to create app folder in android there can be a several methods according to mobile brands so i cannot guarantee all but i am using samsung lolipop 5.0 so this is sure for a samsung phones. 

I have create a video as well for ease i highly recomend you to watch this video and also read steps to clearly understand everything.

Step 1 : Go to home page and bring two apps to be stored in folder. ( It requires minimum two apps to create a folder )

Step 2 : Now press one app and holder for a while and then drag over another app it will create a app folder just like this.

Step 3 : Enter the name of your folder .

Name should be kept on the basis of apps containing inside it so that it will be easy to memorize. But i am using just my apps as name for while .

Step 4 : finally after entering name your app folder is created just like below.

How to create normal folders in android  ?

To create normal folder to manage your files you can follow these steps and watch this video . As i have already said this may differ from mobile to mobile. But most phone use same techniques.

I have video for this as well you can simply watch it and then read the steps below to have clear understanding .

Now read these step for clearification.

Step 1 : Find my files folder in your phone this folder exist in all phone by default. 

Step 2 : click on my files folder and you will come to such interface or not depending upon phone.

Step 3 : just click on "more" on the top menu bar then you may see such interface.

Step 4 :just click on " create folder " button on the above picture. Then you may see something like this.

Step 5 : just enter name of your folder like this .

Step 6 :  congratulations you have created your required folder and now you can store files in it.

Why should you create a folder ?

You should create folder because it is  an organization or collection of related files so that it makes easy to navigate through your phone . Few andvantages of creating folders are :

Is it compulsory to create a folder ?

How to name a folder ?

Naming a folder is not very tricky but it is essential to name your folder properly in order to memorize all the files or other folder inside it. Well let me give you an example there is 10 songs then i will create a folder to store them then obviously i will name it music . 

Also there may be collection of few files which works together to perform any task like i have few apps which edit the video and also some music players.
So if you name such folders you can name it as " Video editors ".
So i have created few ways to name folders .
1. What is inside the folder or content.
2. What works they perform.
3. Is it your private task like project work , school project for students.
